On July 4th 2007, at the imponent Santo André SESC in São Paulo, Jorge Bodanzky was invited for the Mais que Mil Palavras Project (More Than a Thousand Words).
This project aims to divulge videos that are shared on the World Wide Web. A panorama presenting 126 videos available on line, chat rooms with field experts, production workshop, video research and video share, in order to show the public that a image is worth more than a thousand words.
A Meeting with Jorge Bodanzky
At the Internet Livre space (Free Internet) Jorge Bodansky, one of the most independent directors in the country, presented to the young audience his most exciting project: Navegar Amazônia. This project develops activities aiming to identify, prospect, publicize and document the culture of the riverside communities. This strengthens the local and regional cultures, focusing on the production of digital media and diffusion via internet, allowing initiatives for the preparation of citizens to act in the so-called information society.
During the event, the youngsters watched a few parts of the documentary about the journey with Jorge Mautner, and also chatted online with Beto Lacerda and Luiz Banha, at Macapá. They sent a message to the students from the boat.
